Andi Steele’s monofilament installations are experiential. The effect of the monofilament’s translucency is most easily seen, felt, and understood by walking through the space. In an effort to capture this experience, Steele takes video of the work, walking through it as a viewer would.
Video is monocular. It is not able to pick up all of what occurs in the peripheral vision but it does convey multiple views of the forms, and the visual fluctuations caused by the monofilament.
These video walk-throughs will be available to view under the video tab soon. Please check back.
